29th September 2005 - Royals prepare for tough
match against Orleton
Although Royals have beaten Orleton every time they
have met in the last 2 years, it could still be a tough match.
Orleton have started better than in previous seasons and are
currently in third place, just behind second place Royals.
Kick off is at 12:30pm at the school.
27th September 2005 - Stretton Panthers hold
Coreley
Church Stretton Panthers held Coreley to a goalless
draw last night, in the first round first leg cup tie. Goalkeeper
Harry was the hero of the day after saving a penalty to keep them in
the game.
Other cup results were as follows:-
Orleton Inter 2-2 Knighton
Ludlow North 3-0 Ludlow West
Tenbury South 1-13 Craven Arms
Church Stretton Panthers 0-0 Coreley
Tenbury North 0-5 Presteigne

25th September 2005 - Stunning second half
display seals 1-0 first leg win
Royals came away from their cup tie against Onny
Plus with a first leg lead of a single goal. The goal came early on
in the second half when Tom Lewis shot from close distance.
Royals could have notched up another 5 or 6 goals after hitting the
woodwork or closely missing on several occasions.
Cameron Holtz was largely untroubled in goal, except for one
stunning save midway through the second half.

24th September 2005 - Shrewsbury Town coach
trains Royals
Kristian Woods from the Shrewsbury Town school of
excellence gave up part of his Saturday morning to coach the Royals,
in preparation for their cup tie against Onny Plus. The squad
enjoyed the session and it is hoped that they can take what they
learnt forward into future games.

21st September 2005 - Onny Cup Preview
The Royals travel to Burway Cricket Club for the
second week in succession, this time against Onny Plus in the first
round, first leg of the cup. In the previous 5 meetings Royals have
won just once, but with a full squad available to choose from, they
will hopefully notch up what would be an important second victory.
Kick off is at 11:00am, with the team meeting at the
ground at 10:30am.
20th September 2005 - Royals move into second
place.
Royals moved up into second place in the league
table, just behind Craven Arms on goal difference. Royals are one of
3 teams that still have a 100% record, along with Craven Arms, and
Presteigne from the North division.
18th September 2005 - Onny Tigers 1-7 Royals
Royals continued their impressive start to the
2005-06 campaign with a convincing 7-1 win over Onny Tigers.
Although Onny played some excellent football, Royals experience
showed. Goals from Hearle (3), Lewis (2), Carless-Turland and an own
goal made sure of the result.
A strong performance in the first half, providing a
lead of 6-0 enabled the Royals to experiment with the line up, and
team positions.

Meanwhile other results saw Craven Arms beating
Coreley 2-1, Orleton Inter beating Ludlow South 8-0, and Ludlow West
beating Tenbury South 8-1.
In the U10 North division Church Stretton Panthers won their opening
game of the season 6-0 against Orleton AC.

12th September 2005 - 9:30am Sunday Kick-off v Onny
Tigers
This weekend's match against Onny Tigers kicks off
at 9:30am on Sunday. The match takes place at the Burway Cricket
Club, Ludlow.
The game was originally scheduled for Saturday
morning, but this clashed with a cricket match that was already
booked on the pitch.
11th September 2005 - Royals 2-1 Coreley
Royals commenced their league time with a well
earned 2-1 victory over last years cup winners Coreley. Royals
virtually camped in the Coreley half for much of the game but had to
be patient before the goals finally came. Goals by Carless-Turland
and Hearle secured the victory. A full match report will appear

Meanwhile also in the U10 South division Craven Arms
beat Ludlow South 13-1, Tenbury South beat Orleton Inter 3-2, and Onny Tigers beat Ludlow West 4-0.
In the U10 North division Ludlow North drew with Knighton 0-0 and
Onny Plus beat Orleton AC 9-0.
11th September 2005 - Fund Raising Disco
Tickets and raffle tickets are now available for the
Royals fund raising disco which takes place on 8th October at Church
Stretton Club. Proceeds will go towards paying the balance of our
new kit, with a donation to be made to the central club fund.
10th September 2005 - Training
Training is now well under way and the players are working hard.
Although a little rusty for the first couple of weeks, we have been
concentrating heavily on fitness and this is starting to pay
dividends.
4th September 2005 - Royals 10-1 Craven Arms
The Royals started their pre-season campaign with a
tremendous win over local rivals Craven Arms by 10 goals to 1. Goals
from Carless-Turland (4), Lewis (3), Hearle, Groom and an OG made
sure that the Arms stood no chance. A full match report is

4th September 2005 - Jack Case Released
Jack Case will not be playing for the Royals
for season 2005-06. It was agreed with his parents that he be
released after he did not
appear at training for the first three weeks.
3rd September 2005 - Kit Presentation
Martin Turland of MCT Architectural Services
presented the Royals' players with their new kit today after
