28th November 2005 - Tenbury match to be played
on Saturday.
This weekend's fixture against Tenbury South is to
be played on Saturday morning, 3rd December 2005, with a 10:30 kick
off.
A win on Saturday would see Royals crowned as South
Division champions and stand them in good stead for the post
Christmas battle in Division 1.
Tenbury are currently 6th in the league table with 6
points from their 5 games.
24th November 2005 - Presteigne Semi Final First
Leg - POSTPONED
The semi final first leg match against Presteigne
has been postponed due to illness in the Presteigne team. Three
players are absent from school sick and a fourth has stitches in his
foot. It is possible that the weather may have caused the game to be
postponed also.
With the final not until May 2006, the game may well
not take place until after Christmas. The home leg should still be
played on 11th December 2005.
22nd November 2005 - Craven Arms held by Onny
Tigers
In the only other match played in the U10s south
division, Craven Arms were held to a 1-1 draw by Onny Tigers. This
means Royals are 2 points clear with a game in hand.
In the north division Ludlow North jumped above
Stretton Panthers, after beating Orleton AC 6-1.

20th November 2005 - Royals back on top.
Royals moved back to the top of the league this
afternoon after convincingly beating Ludlow South 12-0. The frosty
weather nearly meant that the game would have to be postponed, but
the pitch was just playable.
Although never really tested, Royals did play some
entertaining and skillful football for the crowd to watch. Goals
from Groom 4, Carless-Turland 2, Hearle 2, Holtz 2, Smith and Lewis
secured the victory.

18th November 2005 - Ludlow South match preview.
Royals take on Ludlow South this weekend, weather
permitting, at home with a 1:00pm am kick-off. Due to the severe
weather warning a pitch inspection will take place at 11:00am.
Ludlow South are the weakest of the 3 Ludlow teams,
and if the match does go ahead it could be a good chance to improve
Royals goal difference.
Michael Brayne is unavailable to play, but all other
members of the squad are available for selection.
15th November 2005 - Royals draw Presteigne in
semi final
The Royals have been drawn against Presteigne in the
2 legged semi final of the cup. This was the draw that they were
hoping to avoid, but will obviously be the most exciting semi final.
With both teams having a 100% record, one of them will have to lose
for the first time this season.
The other semi final will be Coreley v Onny Tigers
or Orleton AC
1st leg to be played away on 26th or 27th November
2005.
2nd leg to be played at home on 10th/11th December 2005.
14th November 2005 - Sponsored walk a great
success.
The sponsored walk that took place on 23rd October
2005 raised over £500 for the Magpies club funds. Over 40 people
turned up, to what was a very successful afternoon.
12th November 2005 - Royals reach cup semi-finals
Royals defeated Ludlow North by a single goal today
at the Coors Stadium to win over two legs, by 3 goals to 0, in the
quarter final of the cup. Whilst not at their best, Royals did enough
to secure the result, with a first half goal from Tom LewisTom Lewis
.
The league sent an FA qualified referee, Graham
Simmons to adjudicate the match and it passed without incident.
Meanwhile Ludlow North's bad sportsmanship continued
with manager Rob Williams refusing to shake hands at the end of the
game.

11th November 2005 - Ludlow North match preview.
Royals travel to the Coors Stadium tomorrow to play
their quarter final 2nd leg against Ludlow North. They take with
them a 2 goal lead, which hopefully will stand them in good stead.
It is hoped that this match will not be surrounded
in the controversy that spoiled the first leg last weekend.
Royals have no injury problems and it is expected
that the starting lineup will be as the first leg.
11th November 2005 - Ludlow West game postponed
again.
Sunday's game against Ludlow West has been postponed
for the second week in succession. This time it is because our
opponents are unable to field a team due to it being Remembrance
Sunday.
It is possible that the game will not now be played
until 18th December 2005.
10th November 2005 - Coreley look set to play in
Division 2 after Christmas.
Last season cup winners Coreley, are odds on to play
in Division 2 after the Christmas break. They can only get a maximum
of 9 points, provided they win their last two games. They must then
hope that the teams currently above them that are already on 9
points, slip up in their remaining fixtures.
8th November 2005 - Craven Arms back on top of
table.
Craven Arms knocked the Royals off the top spot on
Saturday with a 3-1 victory over Orleton Inter. Royals have played
one game less though, due to their game against Ludlow West being
postponed.
Coreley finally secured their first 3 points of the
season by beating Ludlow South 5-0, whilst in the U10 North division,
Presteigne hammered 14 goals past Orleton Inter.

6th November 2005 - Ludlow West game postponed.
Royals game against Ludlow West was postponed today
due to a waterlogged pitch. A The game was due to kick off at
10:30am, but a pitch inspection at 8:30am found the pitch to be
unplayable.
The match has been rescheduled for either:-
2:30pm Sunday 13th November 2005 - if we are still
in the cup.
or
10:30am Sunday 27th November 2005 - if we are no
longer in the cup.
5th November 2005 - Royals 2-0 Ludlow North.
Royals were made to battle for their 2-0 victory in
the first leg of the quarter final of the cup. Second half goals
from Carless-Turland and Hearle made sure of the result, after the
game was very nearly abandoned just before half time.
Match referee Dave Riley almost had to end the game early when the
Ludlow assistant manager was asked to leave the playing area due to
continual abuse, but refused to go. The Ludlow manager was also
involved in disputing the referee's decisions.
Eventually the
assistant was persuaded to leave the area and the game recommenced
for the second half. A full report has been sent to the South
Shropshire Junior Football League for their action.

2nd November 2005 - Kick off times for this
weekend.
Royals have a tough weekend approaching with 2 home
games scheduled. Firstly they play Ludlow North in the first leg of
the quarter finals of the cup. Secondly they entertain Ludlow West
in a league fixture.
Both games will be a challenge on the strength and fitness of the
Royals squad. Ludlow North have not had a brilliant start to the
North Division but usually give Stretton a good run for their money.
Ludlow West, perhaps surprisingly, stand in second place in the
South Division, after a string of good results.

2nd November 2005 - Stretton bow out of ESFA U11
7-side Competition
Stretton school came away from Meole Brace tonight,
controversially knocked out of this competition, sponsored by
Sainsbury's. Despite drawing their first 2 matches and heading their
group, they were still eliminated after a 2nd phase of matches was
suddenly introduced, contrary to the rules that were agreed
beforehand.
Royals' players Joe Hearle, Simon Riley and Rory
Smith all represented the U11 team despite being in the U10 age
group.
1st November 2005 - Presteigne defeat Craven Arms
in cup.
Presteigne maintained their league and cup 100%
record by defeating Craven Arms by a single goal in the quarter
finals 1st leg of the cup. Craven Arms now have to overcome this
deficit in a tough 2nd leg at Presteigne.
In the only other game played Coreley defeated
Knighton 4-0.
