21st February 2006 - Knighton Match Preview
Royals entertain Knighton this weekend in the
Quarter Finals of the cup. Knighton are the only team in Division 1
that Royals have not played yet, and so therefore remain an unknown
quantity. They visit Church Stretton on the back of a 4-1 over
Craven Arms last weekend, so a competitive game could be on the
cards.
The game takes place on Sunday with a 10:30 kick
off.
19th February 2006 - Onny Plus 0-4 Royals
Royals gained a much needed win to put them back on
course in this Division 1 clash. Goals from Lewis, Hearle, Groom and
Riley saw off the opposition and put the Royals back on track, after
their draw against Presteigne.
Some super first half football saw 3 goals scored in
the first 18 minutes, but in the second half Onny came more into the
game and Royals only managed a single goal.

here.
15th February 2006 - Onny Plus Match Preview
Royals take on Onny Plus this weekend at Burway
Cricket Ground. They have already met Onny twice this season,
producing two memorable games, both in the cup. In the first leg
Royals won 1-0, whilst in the second leg Royals were again the
victors by 4 goals to 2.
Royals need a win to get back on track in their
quest to win the title.

the cup

Knighton in the quarter finals of the Division 1 cup. The tie is a
single leg affair.

February 2006.

due to sickness and the freezing weather conditions. Onny Plus
managed to put 6 goals past Onny Tigers without reply.

Knighton - Away - League
Craven Arms - Home - League
9th February 2006 - Craven Arms Match Review
Royals will be looking to make amends for a sloppy
first half performance last week against Presteigne, when they
entertain Craven Arms this Sunday. Royals who beat the Arms by 7-1
in their encounter before Christmas will be looking for 3 points to
keep them in the title race.
Craven Arms will be looking to get something out of
the game, in a bid to hoist themselves into the top half of the
Division 1 table. They come with an impressive 4-1 win over Onny
Plus behind them.
The game takes place at Church Stretton School on Sunday with a
9:45am kick off.
5th February 2006 - Presteigne 3-3 Royals
Royals were knocked off the top of the table this
morning after being held to a draw by Presteigne. Indeed Royals were
made to battle for their point and the home team looked vastly
superior for most of the game.
They went 2 goals down after 18 minutes but managed
to pull one back before half time, through Lewis, to at least give
themselves a fighting chance.
Presteigne then made it 3-1, and the match looked
beyond saving for the Royals. However determined battling, saw Lewis
and Groom score 2 goals in the last 7 minutes to earn them the
point.
Ludlow North's victory over Knighton means that they
now top the table.
A full match report will appear
here.
2nd February 2006 - Presteigne Match Preview
Royals travel to Presteigne this weekend to play the
first of two league fixtures against the title hopefuls. Royals
should be at full strength, the only injury doubt being Groom,
who has an ankle injury. All the players seem to have recovered from
the sickness bug that is rife in South Shropshire, so the game looks
set to go ahead, weather permitting.
Presteigne will be determined to make up for their
surprise defeat last weekend against Onny Plus, and Royals will need
to be at their best to cope with the likely pressure put on them.
The game takes place at Presteigne on Sunday with a
11:00am kick off.
