21st July 2006 - Martin Turland resigns as assistant manager

It has today been confirmed that Royals' assistant manager Martin Turland has resigned his position with immediate effect. Martin assisted Chris in the Royals and Magpies most successful season ever in which they won the league and 2 cups.

Martin has cited "work commitments" as the reason that he is leaving.

An announcement is expected to be made after the weekend regarding his successor.

3rd July 2006 - 2 new signings announced

Royals have today confirmed two new signings have been added to their squad. Will Bourne joins the squad from last years U11s team that played in the Shrewsbury League. He is a fast left-sided player who has recently been on trial with Shrewsbury Town.

The second signing is Jacob Allan, who also joins from last year's U11s. Jacob is a strong central defender with a powerful shot.
