28th August 2006 - New signing confirmed today

Royals have made their seventh new signing of the season. Jack Agnew arrives in Church Stretton to play from the Royals after moving from Tavistock, Devon.
Jack, a tall defender has been playing league football with Tavistock Juniors FC until now.

27th August 2006 - Meole Brace Juniors friendly

After 4 weeks of pre-season training Royals are now ready for their first pre season friendly. The match has been arranged against Meole Brace Juniors for Thursday 7th September 2006, with a 7pm kickoff. The match will be played at Roman Road Sports Centre on the astro pitch.

There will be a charge of £1.50  per player towards the cost of the pitch.

23rd August 2006 - New season's fixtures released

Royals have been given an opening day home fixture against Orleton to be played on September 10th 2006. They follow that with a home fixture against Tenbury on 17th September 2006. The local derby against Red Rovers is set for 10th December 2006.

The U12s league consists of one division which will be split at Christmas.

21st August 2006 - New trialist trains with Royals

A new trialist joined the Royals yesterday at their 3rd pre-season training session. The unnamed  player, a defender, played for Tavistock Town FC last season.

7th August 2006 - Pre-Season training

The squad completed their first pre-season training session on Sunday with 11 of the 15 signed players present. In very hot and humid conditions they performed well and completed a successful session.

4th August 2006 - Simon Miles takes position of coach

Simon Miles, father of Luke Miles, has taken on the role as coach with the Royals. This follows the departure of Martin Turland last week.

Simon, an FA qualified coach, brings with him 5 years of coaching experience at Craven Arms.
