28th October 2007 - Presteigne 1-3 Royals
A first half hat-trick from Rory Smith saw the Royals come away from
Presteigne with the points today. The Royals played their best football in the
first half with the wind behind them, playing some superb football and
determined to put last week's defeat behind them. They couldn't quite maintain
the standard in the second half and although they conceded a goal late on, they
came away worthy winners.

24th October 2007 - Presteigne match preview
Royals make the long journey to Presteigne this weekend where they meet
Presteigne Colts for the second time this season. When they met 3 weeks ago
Royals came out on top in an entertaining cup tie.
Royals will be without Cochrane and Agnew who are both unavailable for
selection, but new signing Steve Pryce should be available for the game.
The game takes place at John Beddoes School, Presteigne with a 10:30 kick
off.
Royals will be wearing blue.
23rd October 2007 - Royals make new signing
Royals have strengthened their squad by signing Stoke development centre
player Steve Pryce.
Pryce will be a much needed
addition to the small squad that the Royals currently have. Whilst happiest in a
midfield role Pryce can play comfortably in any position. It is hoped that he
will make his debut for the club on Sunday.
21st October 2007 - Lacklustre Royals taught a lesson in
football
Guilsfield arrived slightly later than they had hoped to Russell's Meadow
yesterday morning. However that was the only thing they did wrong as they taught
everybody present a lesson in how to play football.
Not for the first time this season against tougher opposition, the Royals did
not look up for the task. Passes went astray and their opponents played with
more passion and deservedly won the game 4-2.
Royals two goals came courtesy of an own goal and a Lewis long range strike.

17th October 2007 - Guilsfield match preview
Royals face their toughest test this season so far when they meet Guilsfield,
who are the champions of the Mid & North Powys Junior Football League. The match
has been organised to fill a blank week in the fixture list. Gulsfield recently
played a friendly against Shropshire League champions, Meole Brace and showed
that they were a very capable side, so the stage looks set for an exciting game.
Royals will be at near full strength with defender Riley being the only
absentee.
The match takes place at Russell's Meadow on Saturday 20th October 2007 with
a 10:30am kick off. Royals will play in blue.
14th October 2007 - Royals 7-0 Tenbury North
Royals overcame a physical Tenbury North side this morning by a 7-0 margin.
However they had to work hard for their victory. Indeed Tenbury could have
scored twice themselves before the Royals had opened their account. Some fine
finishing by Lewis (3), Grinker (3), and Hearle ensured that the Royals kept
their place at the top of the table.

10th October 2007 - Tenbury North match preview
Royals visitors this weekend are Tenbury North, a team who are currently
lying in 6th place in the U12 league table. Tenbury North, who are the stronger
of the two sides from Tenbury Wells have won one game and lost two so far this
season.
Royals will be keen for a victory to maintain their 100% record and to add to
their six points accrued so far this season. (They have recently been deducted
the 3 points they won from the Castle FC game).
The game takes place on Sunday at the Meadow with a 10:30am kick off.
Royals will play in red.
9th October 2007 - Royals' players in school action
Several of the Royals' players were in action last night for Church Stretton
school as they defeated William Brookes school 5-3.
Joe Hearle, Rory Smith, Luke Miles, Michael Weynberg, Jack Agnew, Dominic
Robinson, Simon Riley were all involved, with Hearle and Smith netting a brace
each.
9th October 2007 - Castle FC points deducted
Castle FC have definitely withdrawn from the U12s division of the SSJFL. This
means that Royals' 22-0 victory will not be counted as far as this season's
league campaign is concerned, and their points tally reduces to 6.
7th October 2007 - Royals cruise through to 2nd round
Royals claimed their place in the second round draw of the county cup today
after an emphatic 9-0 win against Onny Tigers. Some supreme finishing by the
Royals target men provided the spectators with much to applaud.
Goals by Grinker (4), Lewis (2), Smith, Lock and Miles made sure of the
victory and meant that they will now meet a team from Shrewsbury or Telford in
the 2nd round.

4th October 2007 - Onny Plus match preview
For the second time in 3 weeks Royals take on Onny Tigers this Sunday. They
were awarded a home tie in the first round of the County Cup, after an
administrative faux pas by the organisers meant that the first round sees all
the South Shropshire team playing each other. The winners of round one will then
join the Shrewsbury and Telford teams from round 2 onwards.
Onny will be keen to avenge their 8-0 defeat when the teams met previously,
whilst Royals will be hoping for no slip ups in order to progress to the next
stage.
The match takes place on Sunday 7th October with a 10:30am kick off.
The Royals will play in blue.
3rd October 2007 - Training switches to Saturday mornings
Training for the Royals will change to Saturday mornings from 9:30am to
11:00am, from this Saturday 6th October. With the dark evenings drawing in it is
no longer possible to train during the week and it is felt that training on
concrete as the squad last year is not suitable.
3rd October 2007 - No Holtz barred
Ex Royals keeper Cameron Holtz has signed for the newly formed Magpies U12s
team. The player decided to leave the Royals two games into the season after he
decided that there was too much competition for places in the Royals.
