29th November 2007 - Cup fever in the air as Royals travel to
Coreley
Royals travel to Clee Hill this weekend in the second of their back to back
fixtures against Coreley. This time it's the semi final of the league cup and
the Royals will be keen to perform a well as they did last week against their
opponents.
Royals will be without Riley who is unavailable for selection but will be
strengthened by the return of Cochrane.
The game takes place at Clee Hill on Sunday morning with a 10:30am kick
off.
Royals will play in red.
25th November 2007 - First blood to Royals in Coreley double
fixture
Royals came out 4-1 winners today in their toughest battle yet, against a
dogged, determined Coreley side who showed that they could compete with the
teams at the top of the table.
Royals found it hard to break down the Coreley defence and it took a
wonderfully constructed goal from Grinker to break the deadlock. Coreley
equalised soon afterwards when Royals failed to clear adequately, but Hearle
edged them ahead two minutes before the break.
Royals saved their best football for the second half and two goals from Smith
made sure of the victory, keeping them top of the table.

22nd November 2007 - Coreley Match Preview
Coreley travel to Church Stretton this weekend to face the Royals at
Russell's Meadow. The two teams have not yet met this season and indeed only met
once in the league last season, when the Royals came away 3-1 victors. Royals
also met them on their way to winning the Matthew Evans cup and this time they
were 10-1 winners.
With the weather forecast being extremely cold this weekend there is some
doubt as to whether the pitch will be in a playable condition due to frost.
The game is scheduled to take place on Sunday morning with a 10:30am kick
off.
Royals will play in red.
17th November 2007 - Onny Tigers 0-8 Royals
Royals increased their points tally and their gap at the top of the league
table today, when they defeated Onny Tigers 8-0. Royals coach Simon Miles had to
step in to referee at the last minute after the original referee slipped and
broke his wrist just minutes before kick off.
A nasty clash of heads between Green and Riley saw both players having to
come off for treatment, although Green was able to continue later.
Lewis 2, Hearle 2, Smith, Miles and Grinker were on target for the Royals,
with the other goal being an own goal.

12th November 2007 - Onny Tigers match preview
Royals travel to the Burway this Saturday where they meet Onny Tigers. This
weekend was originally a blank fixture, but league fixtures have now been
arranged to replace the county cup void weeks.
Royals have already met the Tigers twice previously this season, both times
winning the games. They are likely to be without Josh Cochrane who will be
unavailable for selection.
The match takes place at the Burway, Ludlow on Saturday 17th November 2007,
with a 11:00am kick off. Royals will play in blue.
12th November 2007 - Weekend round up
Onny Eagles moved up to second place in the table after a 6-1 win over
Tenbury North at the weekend. They jump above Coreley who did not play at the
weekend.
In the only other game played, Presteigne visited Onny Tigers, where they
came away with the points after a 6-0 victory.
11th November 2007 - Tenbury South 0-10 Royals
Royals continued their league campaign with a comfortable win at Tenbury
Wells this morning, despite only having 10 men available for selection. On a
pitch that was not conducive to the Royals style of football, they had to work
hard to create their goals, against a Tenbury side who played above what their
position in the league would suggest.
Lewis (3), Miles (2), Grinker (2), Smith, Lock and Weynberg were all on
target for the Royals.
A full match report can be read
here.
7th November 2007 - Saturday match for the Royals
Tenbury South have elected to play the Royals this Saturday morning, instead
of the usual Sunday morning fixture. This is due to it being Remembrance Sunday
this weekend, and several players involved in other activities.
Therefore there will be no training this weekend.
The match takes place at Tenbury Leisure Centre on Saturday 10th November
2007, with a 10:30am kick off. Royals will be playing
in Red.
6th November 2007 - Royals to play Coreley in League Cup semi final
Royals have been drawn against Coreley for their League Cup semi final match.
They have been drawn away at Coreley's Clee Hill ground. This means that the two
teams could be playing each other two weeks in succession as they are due to
meet in a League fixture the week before.
1st November 2007 - No game this weekend for the Royals
A gap in the fixture list means that the Royals do not have a game this
weekend. It has been confirmed that no teams from the SSJFL are being entered
into the County Cup, despite the best efforts of the SSJFL chairman Peter Lines,
to make the organisers see sense.
It is understood that the league committee are trying to arrange an
alternative cup with teams from the Powys and Hereford leagues.
Royals will train on Saturday at the normal time.
