29th January 2008 - Weekend results round up
Onny Eagles kept the pressure on the Royals at the top of he table after
beating Tenbury South 7-0 over the weekend. This win takes them to within 3
points of the Royals, who have a game in hand over the second place team.

24th January 2008 - Free weekend for the Royals
There is no game this weekend for the Royals. The team were due to travel to
Clee Hill to play Coreley in the league, but the game has been postponed due to
several players having tickets to see Hereford United and Cardiff City in the FA
Cup 4th round.
The game will now take place mid week when the evenings get lighter.
Training will be as usual on Saturday morning from 9:30am to 11:00am.
21st January 2008 - Weekend results round up
Only one other match was played in the U12s league this weekend in which Onny
Eagles kept up their title challenge with an 8-3 victory away at Tenbury North.
This means that the Royals are 6 points clear of their closest rivals, with both
teams having played the same amount of games.
20th January 2008 - Royals 8-0 Tenbury South
Royals maintained their position at the top of the table today after they
defeated Tenbury South by 8 goals to 0. Despite heavy rain overnight, the pitch
was deemed suitable for play and although their opponents put on a much improved
performance over the previous meeting, Royals were able to overcome them.
Goals from Green (2), Smith (2), Miles, Lock, Lewis and Hearle won the
points.

17th January 2008 - Tenbury South match preview
Weather permitting, this weekend sees the Royals take on Tenbury South, in
their first home game for nearly two months. With the amount of rain that has
fallen in the last 10 days, the game is still very much in jeopardy and a pitch
inspection will be carried out late on Saturday afternoon.
Royals are expected to have a full squad available with Riley, Cochrane and
Lock all available for selection.
The game is scheduled to take place on Sunday morning with a 10:30am kick
off.
Royals will play in red.
14th January 2008 - Home tie for Royals in 2nd Cup
Royals have been drawn a home tie against Presteigne in the first round of
the after Christmas cup. The two teams met in the cup before Christmas and the
Royals came away 3-1 victors.
The match takes place on 3rd February 2008.
14th January 2008 - Onny reduce gap at top
Onny Eagles narrowed the gap at the top of the table at the weekend after
their defeat of neighbours Onny Tigers saw the gap reduce to 6 points.
11th January 2008 - This weekend's game postponed
This weekend's game against Presteigne has been postponed. Persistent rain in
Church Stretton for the last 36 hours has resulted in the pitch at Russell's
Meadow being completely waterlogged.
This means that Royals have two games to re-schedule, as they still have to
play their cup semi final against Coreley which was postponed for the same
reason.
10th January 2008 - Presteigne game confirmed
This weekend's fixture against Presteigne has been confirmed as being on
Saturday morning at Russell's Meadow, with a 10:30am kick off.
Royals will be playing in blue.
9th January 2008 - Hereford v Shrewsbury means another
Saturday fixture
Hereford United take on local rivals Shrewsbury this Sunday at Edgar Street
in what is sure to be a close fought battle. Hereford have only won 4 of the
last 17 matches between the two teams.
The police have set a kick off time of 2pm which means that the Royals game
against Presteigne will take place on Saturday morning. The kick off time is to
be confirmed, but is likely to be 10:30am.
8th January 2008 - Last weekend's round up
Royals increased their lead at the top of the table to 8 points last weekend
after their closest rivals Onny Eagles did not play. Presteigne move into second
place after defeating Tenbury South 3-1.

7th January 2008 - Royals feature in Stretton Focus

5th January 2008 - No post Christmas slump for the Royals
Tenbury North 2-11 Royals
Ten man Royals went to Worcestershire today to face Tenbury North and came back with the points,
showing that the Christmas break had had no ill effects on their performance.
Despite not having trained for a month due to inclement weather and Saturday
fixtures, Royals played some of their best football of the season so far by
keeping it simple and letting the ball do the work.
Goals from Lewis (5), Smith (3), Hearle (2) and Miles made sure of the
result.

2nd January 2008 - New Year starts with another Saturday
game
Royals start the second half of their season this weekend with a trip to over
the border into Worcestershire for their game against Tenbury Wells North.
After a three week break the team will enter this match without having had
the benefit of training since the first week in December and just one game in
the same month.
When the teams last met, Royals came out 7-0 victors, but they had to work
hard against a physical Tenbury side.
The game takes place on Saturday 5th January with a 10:30 kick off.
Royals will play in Red.
