20th May 2008 - SSJFL Interleague Weekend
A team from South Shropshire journeyed to Shrewsbury Collage or Arts and
Technology at the weekend to compete in the annual Interleague tournament. They
were up against teams from the cream of the Telford League and the Shropshire
Junior League.
South Shropshire struggled with the pace of the game, but battled hard to
come away with two draws and two losses. The Shropshire Junior League were the
outright winners.
Several Royals players represented South Shropshire: Joe Hearle, Craig
Keugler, Rory Smith, Jack Agnew, Tom Lewis, Dominic Robinson, Luke Miles and Sam
Green.
11th May 2008 - Never shy in front of a camera!
With so many spectators at the SBS Stadium yesterday, it was a good
opportunity for a photo shoot. Here's one of the squad with their trophies.

11th May 2008 - Royals complete league and cup double
Royals defeated Onny Eagles today by 2 goals to 1 in the final of the Pitt
and Minton Cup. In a closely fought game in stifling heat, Royals just had the
edge over their opponents, in what was a tense affair.
Onny had the better of the first half, with the Royals struggling to find
their form and the teams went in at half time at 0-0. In the second half Miles
broke the deadlock with a beautifully crafted goal with Carless-Turland and then
Hearle adding to the scoreline.

9th May 2008 - Pitt and Minton Cup Final preview
Royals are back in action on Sunday, for the last time this season. They take
on Onny Eagles in the final of the Pitt and Minton Cup, at Ludlow's SBS Stadium.
Royals will be looking to add to their league championship title and will be
anxious to put the recent defeat against Coreley behind them.
Royals have a full squad available with Rory Smith back from injury and Dylan
Grinker available for selection.
The match kicks off at 2:00pm on Sunday.
8th May 2008 - Stretton Red Rovers win Ian Hughes Memorial Cup
Fellow Stretton team Red Rovers defeated Onny Eagles last night by 4 goals to
2 in the U13s Ian Hughes Memorial Cup, A hat trick by Shannon Parton and one
from ex Royal Will Bourne sealed the result for the Rovers.
7th May 2008 - Coreley win Corve Bridge Cup
Coreley won the Corve bridge Cup last night, after beating Onny Eagles in the
final 4-2 on penalties. The score after full time was 2-2, then neither side
were able to increase their tally during extra time, which led the tie to be
decided on penalties.
4th May 2008 - Royals edged out in extra time
Royals were narrowly beaten this morning in the semi final of the Corve
Bridge Cup by a single goal in extra time. In a game traditional of a cup tie,
both teams gave it their all, but it was to be Coreley who go on to meet Onny
Eagles in the final.
Royals battled hard but will rue their missed chances which would have
changed the game. In the end it was a little of magic from Coreley's striker
that gave them the victory.

1st May 2008 - Cup semi-final weekend
This weekend sees the Royals take on Coreley (again), in the Corve Bridge Cup
semi-final. The two teams meet at Coreley's Clee Hill ground and are bound to
provide an enthralling game for the spectators. The prize at stake is a final
against Onny Eagles on the main pitch at Ludlow's SBS Stadium on Tuesday
evening.
The game takes place on Sunday with a 10:30am kick off.
Royals will play in red.
