29th December 2008 - Meole Brace match
preview
Royals begin the second half of the
season with a visit from Meole Brace Juniors
this weekend. It will be the first time that
the two sides have met since the management
of Meole Brace has changed. Two ex-Royals
are like to be playing for the opposition -
Harvey Carless-Turland and Dominic Robinson
who both had several seasons with the Royals
prior to moving to Meole Brace.
Both teams hit a run of bad form just
prior to Christmas and therefore an exciting
game is on the cards. Royals will be
welcoming back Luke Miles and Rory Smith
after injury/illness, both of whom should be
fit to play.
The match will take place on Sunday at
Russell's Meadow with a 10:30am kick off.
Royals will be
playing in blue.

13th December 2008 - Meresiders game
postponed
Royals' game against Meresiders has been
postponed due to a waterlogged pitch. A
pitch inspection took place this afternoon
and it was decided that there would be no
chance of it being playable tomorrow.
Royals now have 5 games to catch up after
the Christmas break.
10th December 2008 - Meresiders match
preview
In what is their last game before the
Christmas break, Royals travel to SCAT on
Sunday to play Meresiders. Provided the
weather holds, and the temperatures warm up
to above freezing, the match will kick off
at 2pm on Sunday afternoon.
When the two teams met at Russell's
Meadow earlier in the season, Royals came
out 7-1 victors.
Royals will be without Luke Miles with a
back problem and Rory Smith is a doubt with
a virus.
8th December 2008 - Another game
postponed due to frost
For the second week in succession a
frozen pitch meant that there was no action
for the Royals. Despite conditions being OK
on Saturday, clear skies caused a heavy
overnight frost over much of Shropshire,
causing the game to be postponed.
Royals now have 4 games to re-schedule
after the Christmas break.
3rd December 2008 - Shrewsbury Juniors
match preview

season Royals were defeated 6-2 after taking
the lead, missing a penalty, and conceding 4
times in the last 15 minutes.
Royals are likely to be without Miles and
Moffat who both still have injuries.
The game takes place at Shrewsbury Sports
Village with a 10:30am kick off.
