29th January 2009 - Meole Brace Colts
match preview
Royals will be trying to make it three
wins out of three this weekend when they
take on Meole Brace Colts at Longden Road.
The honours are even at the moment with both
teams having one game each when they have

Royals will be keen to put some distance
between them and third place club Market
Drayton and they know that only a win will
be enough to do that.
The match takes place on Sunday 1st
February with a 2:30pm kick off.
Royals will be
playing in red.

25th January 2009 - Royals 7-2 Market
Drayton Tigers
Royals put on a commanding performance
today at the Meadow and defeated Market
Drayton Tigers
7-2. Royals were able to play some

had put together a good string of results
recently.
Goals from Moffat (2), Hearle, Fielding,
Lewis, Leech and Weynberg earned the points
for the Royals.
A full match report can be found
here.
22nd January 2009 - Market Drayton
Tigers preview
This weekend sees the Royals take on form
side Market Drayton Tigers in another home
fixture. When the two teams met before
Christmas, Royals were beaten 6-3 in a game
where they were always trying to play catch
up. Royals will be keen to get a win under
their belts again this week and continue
their climb up the table.
The game takes place at Russell's Meadow
on Sunday with a 10:30am kick off.
Royals will be
playing in blue.
19th January 2009 - Weekend round up
Royals move up one place in the league
table following their win over Meole Brace
Colts. Shrewsbury Juniors extend their lead
to 7 points after defeating Market Drayton
Tigers 3-1.
Full results from the weekend were:
Stretton Royals 3-2 Meole Brace Colts
Market Drayton Tigers 1-3 Shrewsbury Juniors
Baschurch 6-3 Meresiders
18th January 2009 - Royals 3-2 Meole
Brace Colts
Royals did enough today to earn the
points after scoring twice in a first half
which saw them nearly back to their best. As
the game went on though Meole Brace put the
pressure on and two second half goals nearly
earned them a point. However Fielding scored
the winner with 12 minutes remaining. Royals
could have increased their lead late on when
they missed a penalty in the closing stages.
Royals other goals were scored by Green
and Hearle.

here.
13th January 2009 - Meole Brace Colts
match preview
Weather permitting, Royals take on Meole
Brace Colts this weekend at Russell's
Meadow. The game is a re-arranged fixture
which should have been played when the
Charity Cup game was played between the two
teams.
When that game was played, Meole Brace
came out 1-0 winners, after a very tense and
close game, in bitterly cold and wet
conditions. Royals will be hoping to avenge
that defeat, a game where they hit the
underside of the bar and missed a penalty.
The games takes place at Russell's Meadow
on Sunday, with a 10:30am kick off.
Royals will be
playing in blue.
12th January 2009 - Weekend league
round up
Two league games were played at the
weekend, despite the adverse weather
conditions. They were:
Market Drayton Tigers 4-3 Baschurch
Meole Brace Juniors 5-3 Meresiders
Another win for MD Tigers sees them close
the gap on leaders Shrewsbury Juniors to 4
points.

10th January 2009 - 8:00am update -
TRAINING CANCELLED.
Training has been cancelled this morning
due to a severe frost.
5th January 2009 - Royals must endure
more time before next game
Royals match against Shrewsbury
Junior Colts this coming weekend cannot be
played due to their opponents still being
involved in the Charity Cup. This means that
the Royals will have to wait until 18th
January for their next fixture, which will
hopefully be the re-arrangement of a
previously postponed match.
2nd January 2009 - Frost puts paid to
another fixture - TRAINING ALSO CANCELLED
Freezing temperatures for the last week
and for the next 48 hours at least have
meant that both training and the match on
Sunday against Meole Brace have been
postponed.
Royals have had 5 out of the last 6 of
their games postponed, all of which will
have to be played between now and the end of
the season.
