30th April 2009 - Third place for
Royals
Royals have finished third in the league
in their first season in the competition,

tonight. This result means the Meole Brace
Juniors claim the runners up spot as they go
3 points clear of the Royals.
27th April 2009 - Meole Brace Juniors
edge towards second spot
Meole Brace all but finished Royals'
dreams of finishing second tonight, when
they beat sister team Meole Brace Colts 1-0.
The result means that they draw level on
points with Royals and only need a draw in
their final game on Thursday to finish
second.
26th April 2009 - Royals come tumbling
down
Royals were given a harsh reality check
this morning at Shrewsbury Sports Village,
when they were hammered 4-0 by a well
organised and disciplined Shrewsbury Junior
Colts side. The Colts were 2-0 up after 20
minutes and Royals struggled to get a grip
on the game.
Miles was carried off in the first half,
with what looked to be a serious knee injury
and could take no further part in the game.
Royals now see their dreams of 2nd place
shattered, with 3rd place club Meole Brace
needing 4 points from their final 2 games to
make the spot theirs.

Village again this weekend where they take

Royals will be playing blue.

Royals today as they beat Market Drayton
Tigers 4-3. They are now just 3 points

19th April 2009 - Shrewsbury Juniors
2-1 Royals
Royals came away empty handed this
afternoon, as they went down by a single
goal to League winners, Shrewsbury Juniors.
Royals went ahead in the first half, when
Hearle struck home off the post. Shrewsbury
equalised before half time and then, in the
second half they got the winner. Moffat came
close to equalising in the dying minutes but
he saw his shot go agonisingly wide.
16th April 2009 - First v Second on
Sunday

between already crowned champions,
Shrewsbury Juniors and the Royals, who are
currently in second place. Royals came out
victors the last time the two teams met with
a 1-0 victory in the League Cup, but
Shrewsbury Juniors won the league fixture
6-2 back in September.
Royals will be without the injured
midfielder Leech who has a ligament injury,
but should have everyone else available.
The game takes place at Shrewsbury Sports
Village on Sunday 19th April 2009, with a
2:30pm kick off.
Royals will be playing in
blue.

are today confirmed as 2008-09 league

longer do so.

Meole Brace Juniors

2009 today, after losing 2-1 to Meole Brace
