3rd June 2009 - New Management for the
Royals
The Royals will commence the new season
with a new manager at the helm. Ron Leech
has joined the club to take over all team
matters, replacing Chris Smith. Pat Green
and Simon Miles are also standing down from
coaching, although Chris and pat will remain
on the club's committee.
Ron arrives at the club with a wealth of
experience, having coached at both Knighton
Town and Onny Juniors for several years.
He is an FA qualified level 2 coach and
hopes to be awarded his level 3 later this
year and is sure to bring in new ideas and
plans for the team.
1st June 2009 - New committee elected
at AGM/Presentation Evening
A new committee has been elected at the
Royals' recent Annual General Meeting.
Chairman: Chris Smith (no change)
Vice Chairman: Ron Leech (replacing Simon
Miles)
Treasurer: Pat Green (no change)
Secretary: Sandra Al-Houbani (replacing
Wendy Weynberg)
Child Welfare Officer: Chris Smith (no
change)
The meeting preceded the club's
presentation evening, which saw the players
receive their trophies and saw Jack Agnew
receive a special trophy for most improved
player during 2008-09.
The club was also threatened with legal
action by Paul Weynberg for not updating the
secretary's details by the date that he had
stipulated.
