Conduct for Players
Obligations to the Game.
A player should:
- Make every effort to develop their skills, technique, tactics and stamina.
- Give maximum effort and strive for the best possible performance during a game.
- Set a positive example to others.
- Not use inappropriate language.
Obligations to Your Own Team.
A player should:
- Make every effort consistent with fair play and the laws of the game.
- Resist any influence that might question their commitment to the team.
- Not cast blame to other players for mistakes made.
- Positively encourage team mates during the course of training and matches.
Respect for the Laws of the Game and Competition Rules.
A player should:
- Know and abide by the laws, rules and spirit of the game.
- Accept success and failure, victory and defeat equally.
- Resist any temptation to take banned substances or use banned techniques.
Respect towards opponents.
A player should:
- Treat opponents with respect at all times.
- Safeguard the well being of opponents, avoid violence and rough play, and help injured opponents.
Respect towards Match Officials, Team Officials and Supporters.
A player should:
- Accept the decision of the match official without protest.
- Avoid words or actions which may mislead a match official.
- Show respect to a match official.
- Abide by the instructions of their coach provided they do not contradict the spirit of this code.
- Show respect to team officials of your opposition.
- Show respect to the interests of supporters.
Obligations towards the Club
A player should be aware that:
- All kit and equipment provided by the Club, its sponsors, or by fund raising shall remain the property of the Club.
- All kit and equipment provided to a member shall be kept in good condition and used only on match-days, training sessions or other Club events as directed by the team Manager.
- If a member leaves the Club all kit and equipment must be returned complete and in good condition.
